Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification
- For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai — Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.
- For Indian Naval Academy— Degree in Engineering from a recognised University/Institution
- For Air Force Academy—Degree of a recognised University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.
- Graduates with first choice as Army/Navy/Air Force are to submit proof of Graduation / provisional certificates on the date of commencement of the SSB Interview at the SSB.
Age limit
- For IMA—Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 2001 and not later than 1st January, 2006 only are eligible.
- For Indian Naval Academy—Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 2001 and not later than 1st January, 2006 only are eligible.
- For Air Force Academy— Age: 20 to 24 years as on 1st January, 2025 i.e. born not earlier than 2nd January, 2001 and not later than 1st January, 2005 (Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable upto 26 yrs. i.e. born not earlier than 2nd January, 1999 and not later than 1st January, 2005 only are eligible.
Application Fee
- Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred Only) either by remitting the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using Visa/Master/Rupay Credit/Debit Card/UPI Payment or by using internet banking facility of any Bank.
Selection Process
- To qualify the CDS exam, candidates need to successfully navigate through 4 stages: written exam, SSB interview/personality test/ document verification and medical examination.
How to Apply
- UPSC released the CDS application along with the notification on the official website on December 20, 2023. The candidates can apply for the CDS exam till January 9, 2923 by following the steps that have been provided in the article below.
- The steps to fill out the application form are given below:
- Go to the official website for application- upsconline.nic.in
- Log in to your registered account or register for the OTR (the steps to register for UPSC OTR has been given below in the article)
- Click on the CDS 2 exam link
- Fill out the details asked
- Upload the photograph, signature, and Photo Identity card
- Make the application fee for the CDS 2 exam
- Choose the CDS 2 exam centre
- Finally, submit the application form
- A confirmation message will be sent to the candidate's registered mobile number & email id
