Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) published notification for recruitment for Asst. Engineer (Civil), Motor Vehicle Inspector & Other Posts. For more details about this recruitment e. g. qualification, age limit, selection procedure, how to apply and application format as under. Name of posts, Educational qualification & Age limit:
  • Assistant Engineer (Civil): 350 Posts
    • Possess a degree in Engineering (Civil) obtained from any of the Universities or institutions established or incorporated by or under the Central or State Act in India; or any other educational institutions recognized as such or declared to be a deemed University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956
      • Not more than 35 years.
  • Motor Vehicle Inspector: 50 Posts
    • Possess a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering obtained from a University established or incorporated by law in India or an institution deemed to be University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Government for this pupose.
    • Have a valid light motor vehicle driving license on the date of appointment 
      • 21 years and not more than 35 years
  • Principal: 52 Posts
    • A post graduate degree with at least fifty five percent marks (or an equivalent grade of B‟ in the seven point scale, (“O”,” A”, “B”, “C”, D, “E” and “F” wherever grading system is followed) obtained from any of the universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or State Act in India, or any other educational institutions recognized as such by the Government or deemed to be a university under section 3 of the U. G. C. Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Government; 
    • A Ph.D. Degree in relevant discipline with evidence of published work and research guidance in the institution concerned of any of the universities incorporated by or under the Central or State Act in India; or any other educational institutions recognized as such by the Government or deemed to be a university under section 3 of the U. G. C. Act, 1956; and 
    • Have fifteen years combined or separate experience of teaching or research or administration in recognized Universities or colleges or other Institutions of higher education as Assistant Professor before or after acquiring Ph. D. degree: Provided that such experience shall be computed before or after acquiring the Ph.D Degree, but such experience acquired before acquiring the educational qualification as prescribed in clause  1) above shall not be considered.
    • Possess the basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Service Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules 1967
      • Not more than 49 years.
  • Add. District Health Officer / RCHD: 02 Posts
    • Possess a Degree in medicine of a recognized university or an equivalent qualification specified in the First and Second Schedules appended to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956; 
    • Possess a post graduate degree or diploma in Public Health or Hygiene or Sanitary Science or Preventive and Social Medicine or Social and Preventive Medicine or Community Medicine or Community Medicine and Health or other equivalent post graduate degree of a recognized University or any Institution recognized by the State Government of Gujarat. 
    • Have obtained about five years’ experience in health administration on Class II post or an equivalent post under the Government or a local body after or before acquiring the requisite educational qualification
    • Possess the basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967 as amended from time to time.
      • Not more than 45 years
  • District Education Officer / District Primary Education Officer & Equivalent posts: 15 Posts
    • Posses a Bachelor’s degree with First class or a Bachelor’s degree with a Second class and a Master’s degree with Second class in Arts or Science or Commerce of Law or Agriculture or an equivalent educational qualification obtained University established or recognized by or under the Central or State Act in India, or any other educational institution recognised as such by law in India or from an institution deemed to be University under section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or an institution recognized by the Govrnment. (ii) Posses a degree in teaching or education or an equivalent of higher degree or Diploma in Education. 
    • Have atleast seven years experience in teaching or inspection or administration or in any one of them. 
    • Possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati and Hindi or both. 
    • Possess the basic knowledge of Computer Application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and recruitment (General) Rules, 1967. 
      • Not more than 45 years
